Why does a channel have no score?
Either we have not measured it yet, or the channel has previews turned off and views are invisible. A score appears after the first successful collection and stays preliminary while the channel is younger than a week in the catalog.
Why do bots, mini apps and chats have no score at all?
The score is computed from posts and views. A bot, a mini app and a chat have neither by design, so there is nothing to measure.
How often are the numbers recomputed?
Every night: collection first, then the calculation. Subscribers are also sampled hourly. A new entry gets its first number after the first successful collection.
Can a score be raised, or a place in the ranking bought?
Publishing regularly and keeping engagement — yes. Buying — no: paid placements sit in their own row, labelled “Ad”.
There is an error in the numbers. What now?
Confirm ownership of the channel and write to us — we will check the specific number and correct it.
How do I remove an entry from the catalog?
An entry is unpublished at the owner's request. Hiding just the score while keeping the page is not possible.
Where do catalog entries come from?
From submissions, from mentions inside channels we already collect, and from open sitemaps. We read public Telegram pages only.
What does Signal show?
Telegram availability measured from several countries. We show where it does not open and where things are normal, but we do not name a cause: we did not observe the cause and cannot verify it.
Why did an outage notice arrive late?
We declare an outage once two independent groups of checks confirm it. A single vantage point is wrong more often than Telegram breaks, and an alarm from it would be false. Separately: during a global outage the bot is silent along with Telegram — the page and the feed come first.
Who writes the entry descriptions?
Some are written by the channels themselves, some by us, and ours are marked on the page; the original opens on click. Our descriptions do carry numbers, and each one is stamped with the date it was measured: a description lives for months while the number next to it updates daily, and without the date the two would contradict each other.
What does «preliminary score» mean?
That the entry is younger than a week in the catalog and there is not enough history for a stable number. The score is shown but marked — hiding it would mean pretending we have no new entries.
How do I put the score badge on my site?
The entry page has ready-made code. The badge is served as an image from our address and updates itself; you may only place it for your own entry.
