The Economist reports that Russia has significantly ramped up its production rate of ballistic missiles, and is now producing approximately 100 units per month, including Iskander-Ms and RM-48U modified S-400s. Last month, Ukrainian intelligence estimated that Russia produced 65 Iskander-M ballistic missiles in July. If the Ukrainian intelligence and Economist figures are both correct, it would indicate Russia is producing around 35 RM-48U modified S-400 ballistic missiles per month. When taking into account the new Kn-23 ballistic missiles delivered to Russia by North Korea, Russia now has the capacity to launch weekly medium-sized attacks on Kyiv (~15 missiles per attack) without ever decreasing their total missiles in reserve, while still retaining 40 additional newly-produced missiles, as well as all of their Kn-23 ballistic missiles for attacks on different targets. For reference, in 2022, it was estimated by Ukrainian intelligence that Russia produced just 3 Iskander-Ms per month. They also did not have any RM-48U modified S-400 or Kn-23 ballistic missiles at this time.

In a war with Nato (or European nato), there will be lots of planes to shoot down cruise missiles, so the Iskanders and zircons will be really important. They need a stockpile of a couple of thousand ballistics at least, imo. Like Iran has

Only 3 Iskander Ms per month in 2022 ??? Thazlt smells like lie.... I mean, its priduced since 2007, capacity must be 20 or more per month in 2022

FYI Russia has Thermonuclear warhead Tipped version of R-37M hypersonic Air to Air missiles which can wipe off the entire deterrence posture of NATO along the Eastern borders to oblivion! R-37M Axehead max range if combined with A-50U will gives 400 kilometers!

Its a pure speculation and a liberal interpretation of Russian MoD words by western media Also nobody would make such a missile now cause it is simply useless, Americans had the AIR-2 Genie with a nuclear war head and it was deemed useless even during the Cold War, let alone now

FYI this is not from Russian MoD! This is from US Intelligence reports after the starting of conflict on 2022! Russia has begun making this, incase of NATO Fucks Around! They will FIND OUT sooo badly!

I see stories that Russia is helping Iran with some missile tech. I wonder if Iranian style long range ballistics are being made somewhere in Russia, with help from Iran??

    It’s a fairly new system

Not necessarily, Russia has an insanely vast array of different munitions and equipment to produce. Cant produce everything all the time.

Yup, the SMO is just a small border war that Russia puts a tiny percent of their military power into, while depleting the entire West. When desperate, furious NATO starts their final war after they lose Ukraine, Russia won’t even need much help from their closest ally, China.
  • Dato

Its not a tiny percent its a significant percentage but still not 100%

He basically didn't even have to change his argument from 2015.
