📝Threat to Crossings📝
Kyiv residents may want to switch to ferries. Russian forces struck transport arteries in the city again during the night, and also attacked targets in the south of the country.
In the enemy capital overnight, at least two impacts hit the Southern Bridge, damaging a support and the road surface of the structure. Later, traffic across the crossing was completely halted, and the Metro and Dnipro bridges were also partially closed.
Amid this, crossing from one bank of the Dnipro to the other in Kyiv became difficult. Serious traffic jams formed on the roads, and prices for cross-river taxi rides increased several times over.
There were also reports of an attack on the Kyivska 750 kV substation, through which power is supplied to the capital region. So far, no objective evidence of a strike on the facility has appeared.
In the south of so-called Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces attacked port facilities in the Mykolaiv area, and Russia's Defense Ministry also reported striking a production complex in Izmail. In Rivne Region, one of the industrial enterprises in Kostopil became a target of strikes, with a fire breaking out on its territory after the impacts.
❗️Repeated strikes on Kyiv bridges can be considered the beginning of a new phase of the campaign against enemy infrastructure. To cause disruptions in transport movement, the structures did not even need to be destroyed — it was enough to create a constant threat of new attacks.
Previously, similar tactics already made it possible to create a blockade of the ports of "Greater Odesa," causing a reduction in cargo turnover at the harbors and the flow of export revenues.
