🇺🇸⚡️ — The NSA is preparing its largest internal restructuring in at least a decade under Director Gen. Joshua Rudd, creating five major organizations focused on AI, China, cybersecurity, warfighting support and global intelligence, WaPo reports.
Each will be headed by a new “mission director” with authority comparable to an NSA deputy director, with some leaders potentially recruited from outside the agency.
The NSA’s elite hacking unit, Tailored Access Operations, will fall under the global intelligence branch and is expected to receive a significant budget increase.
The overhaul is scheduled to begin in mid-October, with full implementation targeted for January 2027.
