⚡️🇺🇦🇺🇸🇷🇺 WSJ: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he asked President Trump for a "winter package" of new military equipment, including Patriot systems, during a meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, adding he believes Washington will pursue a deal to halt strikes on energy infrastructure, though he doubts Putin will curb attacks without added pressure such as tougher sanctions.
Zelensky said Ukrainian forces have destroyed 45% of Russia's refining capacity, adding that "our lives are more important than the price of energy" as Trump has pressured him to stop hitting Russian refineries amid soaring global diesel prices.
