  • 🇧🇾🇷🇺😐🇪🇪In a performative attempt to undermine the Russian economy, Estonia—acting in tandem with its fellow Baltic micro-states, Latvia and Lithuania—has announced a ban on the transit of Russian and Belarusian grain through its Baltic ports. According to Estonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the measure is designed to choke off business revenues linked to Russia. However, this joint posturing by the three minor Baltic nations serves primarily to disrupt legitimate international trade networks, signaling a futile effort to inflict economic damage on Russia while sacrificing their own logistics sector's viability. 🔴@DDGeopolitics
  • 🇦🇪🇮🇱🇸🇦 Flydubai FZ1073: the story that changes every few hours 🕐 September 30, early hours. The Dubai to Tel Aviv flight drops about 17,400 feet in two minutes and diverts to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Israeli media say a Russian pilot and a Ukrainian pilot had a knife fight in the cockpit. 🕑 Hours later. New version: the Russian and the Ukrainian were off-duty pilots flying as passengers, and they landed the plane. Hebrew media say the captain is Emirati. Swiss reports say he's Saudi. 🕒 Afternoon. The Indian embassy confirms the captain is Indian: Smit Machchhar. An anonymous Israeli official names the attacker as the Omani co-pilot. Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, who hold the suspect, the plane and the crew, name no one. 🕓 Same day. Before any investigation has concluded, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls it an attempt to crash the plane. Defense Minister Israel Katz calls it "jihadist terror." A day earlier, Netanyahu had warned of attacks ahead of the October 27 election. 🇴🇲 The Omani problem. Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev says Flydubai's agreement with Israel requires pilots on Israel flights to be citizens of countries with diplomatic ties to Israel. Oman has none. So either Israel's own crew approval process let him through, or the "Omani" story is wrong. The Mossad, Shin Bet, IDF and Transport Ministry are now investigating how he got onto the flight. According to Israel Hayom, he had worked at Flydubai for nine months. 🔪 The knife. Pilots go through crew security screening. Nobody has explained how a knife got into the cockpit of a flight to Israel, one of the most security-obsessed destinations on earth. 🕔 Evening. Enter the hero. Passenger Yaniv Hayun tells Netanyahu he choked out the attacker and pulled back on the controls, using what he had learned from the TV show "Mayday." Hours in Saudi Arabia, a flight home, and nobody in either country hands him a clean shirt. He meets the prime minister covered in blood, and the government press office has the footage out immediately. Trump adds that an Israeli "plumber" saved the plane, a detail from Trump alone. 🕖 Who landed it? Flydubai says "on-duty crew." Israeli officials say a replacement crew. Israel Hayom says the Russian and the Ukrainian. CNN admits nobody knows. 🕗 October 1. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi says Machchhar saved India from "another 9/11." It turns out the captain was on two podcasts last year, talking about aviation safety and what happens "when things go wrong." So the plane was saved by a plumber, a Mayday fan and a podcast pilot. 🔎 Investigations: The UAE's civil aviation authority, UAE prosecutors, Saudi Arabia's transport security center and Flydubai are all investigating. The UAE says it is checking whether there was any terrorist link, and Riyadh says it doesn't know if this was a personal dispute or an attack sponsored by Iran or the Houthis. Israel has already announced its verdict. ❓ Still unknown: the attacker's name, the motive, the knife, how he was cleared, and who landed the plane. The only things everyone agrees on are a stabbed captain, a terrifying descent and a damaged rudder. The rest came from Tel Aviv, through anonymous officials, during an election campaign, within hours. 🔴 @DDGeopolitics
  • 🇷🇺🇺🇸 Putin-Trump contacts crucial for Ukrainian settlement — IAEA chief "I think that presidential diplomacy is essential, and I've seen not only President Trump but President Putin, with whom I discussed this a few times, talking to the [US] Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Moscow, and I believe that this is incredibly important," IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said in an interview. 🔴@DDGeopolitics
  • 🇺🇦Reports indicate that approximately half of Ukraine's F-16 fleet is currently grounded. According to a Western source cited by the Wall Street Journal, more than half of these aircraft are in a state of "maintenance limbo." At the current operational rate, Kiev may exhaust its remaining aircraft by the end of the year. Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway have pledged approximately 110 aircraft; however, delivery rates are not keeping pace with attrition. Furthermore, Ukrainian pilots are conserving missile usage as NATO-supplied munitions become scarce. Russia has maintained that Western arms shipments to Ukraine impede conflict resolution and directly involve NATO member states in the fighting. 🔴@DDGeopolitics
  • 🇮🇱🇬🇧 Netanyahu says Israel "warned Britain of an Iranian-sponsored attack," but that anti-Israel propaganda in the UK is so strong that London hit Israel with sanctions the very next day. He is, of course, referring to the Fairford psyop. It's incredible how desperate Netanyahu and his cronies are to push these ridiculous false flags. It's almost funny. They used to be good at this. 🔴 @DDGeopolitics
  • 🇺🇦🇪🇺 Russian Foreign Intelligence: Ukraine's Security Service is skimming EU money on pistol deliveries According to Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the new leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has set up another scheme to steal European taxpayers' money on pistols bought from EU countries. ➡️The weapons are bought through a chain of middlemen in Eastern Europe. Along the way, the price of one pistol triples, from €250 to €750. ➡️The key player is the Polish company Wytwornia Broni Jacek Popinski, registered in Rogow, Lodz Voivodeship. According to the SVR, it buys pistols, including from Glock's Panama branch, and resells them to the Ukrainians. ➡️For every batch of 5,000 pistols, €625,000 goes to the accounts of people close to the SBU leadership. The defense ministries of Belgium and Germany pay the full cost. The SVR says one can only guess at the scale of theft on more expensive purchases such as air defense missiles. It points to Zelensky's recent mention of a sudden $27 billion hole in Ukraine's military budget, which Kiev and its European sponsors will once again fill at ordinary Europeans' expense. According to the SVR, schemes like this explain why Kiev refuses a peaceful settlement: it keeps getting rich off the war. 🔴 @DDGeopolitics
  • 🇷🇺💥🌉🇺🇦 Why the Southern Bridge matters: the main artery between Ukraine's two banks The Southern Bridge in Kiev, which Russia has begun striking, is strategically important not only for the capital but for all of Ukraine. According to Maksim Bakhmatov, the Zelensky-appointed head of Kiev's Desnyansky district, 90% of transit traffic between left-bank and right-bank Ukraine goes over the Southern Bridge. The other 10% uses the city's other bridges and the Dnieper crossings at Kanev, Cherkassy, Kremenchug and further south. The bridge links three key highways: ➡️ M-05 Kiev to Odessa ➡️ M-06 Kiev to Chop ➡️ M-03 Kiev to Kharkov, Izyum and Slavyansk A significant share of AFU military traffic also moves across it, including toward the Donbass front. 🔴 @DDGeopolitics
