What was discussed at the BRICS Business Forum
Events during Vladimir Putin's visit to India continue. Following talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both leaders headed to the exhibition "INNOPROM.India," and then visited the BRICS Business Forum.
Vladimir Putin delivered a speech alongside representatives from other member states of the association. The Russian president spoke about the country's economic achievements and priority cooperation with BRICS nations.

▪️Half of global economic growth comes from BRICS countries. The global economy has changed, with new engines of development replacing old leaders.
▪️The West, trying to maintain its leadership, attempts to directly and aggressively impact logistics, destroy infrastructure, and seize vessels.
▪️Russia has strengthened national sovereignty and now develops with reliable and predictable partners. Russian innovations are based on original solutions and developments from BRICS partners.
▪️Strong business partnerships within BRICS form the foundation of international relations. The association's successes are ensured by dynamic domestic markets and rapid urbanization.
Narendra Modi also delivered a speech as the head of this year's BRICS chair country. He noted the strong economic performance of the association and the scale of the Business Forum.
Programmatic statements from the stage emphasized that the association remains a platform for cooperation that is filled with concrete business projects. The forum today serves to bring together businessmen from different countries and discuss potential contracts and partnerships.
📌However, representatives of the member states did not mention some important projects. This concerns, for example, the BRICS common payment system, which year after year accumulates more and more statements not backed by real progress.
❗️Since this is far from the last day of events taking place in New Delhi, the parties may still share results of this and other initiatives. For now, the emphasis is on setting the direction for further cooperation among member states, as well as highlighting its priorities and prospects.
