#BREAKING ⚡️🇺🇸🇸🇦🇾🇪 – Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged Trump to join his air campaign against the Houthis on two different phone calls Thursday, Axios reports. The President declined, and U.S. officials stressed the country has no intentions of joining the conflict in Yemen. Still, the U.S. is stepping up support for Riyadh: today, CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper visited the country for "urgent coordination meetings", and CNN revealed up to 200 U.S. soldiers are deployed in the country. This is a sharp change of posture for MBS, who assured Washington D.C. in July that it could handle the Houthis on its own. Now, following their lighting offensive on the Red Sea coast and multiple strikes on Saudi refineries and pipelines, the tides appear to be turning. @GeoPWatch
