- Counting down the top 10 clips of the Ukraine war: Day 7, number 4: Operation Spiderweb: 1 June 2025 On the 1st June 2025, one of the most impressive intelligence operation of the modern era occurred, with coordinated Ukrainian FPV drone strikes on Russia’s Olenya, Dyagilevo, Ivanovo, Belaya and Ukrainka airbases. Allegedly, this operation took over 18 months of planning, with Ukrainian drones used to carry out the strikes being assembled and transported covertly within Russia. Also, for the first time in history, AI was successfully utilised in a major military operation as an assisting tool. Extremely skilled Ukrainian drone pilots were able to reliably strike vulnerable points of the aircraft, such as fuel tanks, as to not just temporarily disable the aircraft, but permanently destroy them. The operation was executed almost flawlessly, and pro-Russian spaces were sent into a flat spin, going into pure damage control mode. It was confirmed that 10-11 Russian Tupolev 95MS and Tupolev 22M3 strategic bombers were destroyed as a result. Although in the long-term, Russian missile strike capacity has returned to the pre-spiderweb levels of increased, the operation caused huge short-medium term disruption of Kh-101 and Kh-22/32 cruise missile strikes on Ukraine. Overall, operation Spiderweb was an extremely ambitious and incredibly executed covert operation by the SBU, and the video will go down in history as the most successful and high-value target FPV drone strike to date. Also, isn’t the video just fucking badass?

- Its now reported that the plane flying from Saudi Arabia to Israel had a had a Russian pilot and a Ukrainian co-pilot, who got into a fight and started trying to stab each other.
- Approximate flight routes of the missiles launched during last night's Russian missile attack on energy infrastructure in Kyiv. The following was launched: ~6 Oniks-M supersonic cruise missile ~4 Kn-23 ballistic missiles ~4 RM-48U modified S-400 ballistic missiles ~3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles ~2 Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles ~19 missiles in total (+ dozens of Geran-4/5 jet-drones). Of these 19 missiles, I can only confirm the interception of 1 Oniks supersonic cruise missile by a Patriot PAC-3 interceptor. The following locations were targeted: - CHP-5 Combined Heat and Power Plant in southern Kyiv. - Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant in the city of Vyshhorod, Kyiv Oblast. - Trypillya Thermal Power Plant in the city of Ukrainka, Kyiv Oblast. - (Likely) CHP-6 Combined Heat and Power Plant in northeastern Kyiv.
- The status of the emergency Russian counterattacks in Mykolaivka direction has begun to surface. Russian forces were able to take advantage of the poor consolidation of Ukrainian lines and reverse some of the rapid gains they made. They were able to re-enter the towns of Ray-Oleksandrivka, Pyskunivka, and push back toward Mykolaivka. Efforts seem to be ongoing to eliminate the Ukrainian bridgehead at Kryva Luka.
- I believe the chance of Ukraine's energy system collapsing, although still low, is higher than ever. This winter, even according to Donald Tusk, could be catastrophic. Of course, a collapse of the energy system would cause huge, huge issues at the front.
- Russia's strike campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure has begun. Overnight, Russia launched at least 18 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and Oniks supersonic cruise missiles at Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, striking the CHP-5, CHP-6, and Trypillya Thermal Power Plants. Large fires broke out following the strikes. Additionally, numerous Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-drones were used to attack energy infrastructure, including the aforementioned power plants, as well as other targets across Kyiv.
