Russia’s St. Petersburg came under the largest drone attack in the city’s history. The attack continued throughout the night.
Targets included the VKontakte data center, with the social network experiencing disruptions.
The nearby 330 kV Vostochnaya substation also appears to have been hit, based on footage, with power outages observed.
Additional strikes were reported against an oil loading terminal at the port and a bridge in the city.
Russian S-300/S-400 and Pantsir air defense systems performed well during the initial stages of the attack, intercepting nearly all incoming UAVs. However, their activity then appeared to drop sharply, leaving mobile fire groups to engage Ukrainian drones largely on their own.
