🇬🇧 Westminster’s time is running out Nationalist leaders of Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland signed a memorandum on self-determination at a meeting in Cardiff. John Swinney, Rhun ap Iorwerth, and Michelle O’Neill declared that the political landscape across the British Isles is changing and called on London to recognize their peoples' right to self-determination. The agreement outlines cooperation on economics, energy, and relations with the European Union. Each party maintains distinct goals: the SNP seeks Scottish independence, Plaid Cymru pursues Welsh independence, and Sinn Féin aims for the reunification of Northern Ireland with Ireland. Ap Iorwerth emphasized this is not about the "breakup of Britain," but about the right of nations to build their own future. @Slavyangrad

Wales hasn't been independent since 1283. 743 years. Scotland has only been part of the UK since 1707. They are completely different situations.

They need this to control the access way to Faslane, So I reckon, if NATO/EU decided to balkanize the UK, Scotland would be the first, denuding the UK of its nuclear deterrence and access to energy.
  • Rob Shepherd

    No they don't.

Scots are pretending to be Irish these days they have never been occupied by the English

Gospodi, the boy speaks with a tongue loose from its moorings. The Scots have worn the English yoke so long they have forgotten the shape of their own necks, though they pretend otherwise to amuse themselves in the tavern.
  • Dan

    Why not?

Who is going to pay for all this Scottish oil to be extracted?
  • Rob Shepherd

Because they don't own the Irish Sea.
  • Dan

I'm just gaming a scenario, where the EU/NATO try to break up the UK, personally I don't think it will get this far.
  • Dan

But they do control the waters between the north of Ireland and Scotland.

It is all a pipedream by nationalists. We are not the Balkans. There is NO long standing animosity amongst the vast majority of people.

Go and look at a map.
  • Rob Shepherd

The UK controls the water between Northern Ireland and Scotland, because they are both part of the UK.

Anywhere that supports vermin that bomb schools deserves no respect. The Scottish parliament supports them. .

    Where do you live Dan?
  • Dan

In the EU occupied part of Ireland😉
  • Dan

exactly. Hence why " Our teddy Bears head" will remain under UK control.
  • Dan

These people turned Brother against Brother in the Ukraine and Serbia/Montenegro, they even caused a split in the Orthodox Church. A heavily divided group of peoples like the UK would be a cake walk, but for 2 reasons. One, its the British regime that is the biggest cause of such evil and 2 Its the British regime that keeps its subjects struggling against each other.

Hmm. I spent 13 years in Edinburgh. The Scots hate the English.
