West 'Keeps Stuffing Us With Expensive Debt,' But 'We Have to Manage It Responsibly': Kenyan Expert
"It's about being responsible when we're borrowing, about making the investments that we take to borrow with count," Aly-Khan Satchu, CEO of Rich Frontiers Management, told Sputnik Africa on the occasion of the 6th African Conference on Debt and Development in Nairobi.
🇿🇲👉 "There were times when African governments could borrow at incredibly low rates," with Zambia borrowing at 5.5% on the Eurobond market, with the bond eight times oversubscribed, he noted.
"Our governments have to understand [...] that they've got to borrow sensibly; they can't overborrow," Satchu underlined.
