⚡️🇳🇴🇺🇦🇷🇺Naftogaz announced that Norway has seized the Russian vessel, Professor Molchanov, following a $4.22 billion arbitration award against Russia.
The District Court of Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag ordered the seizure on August 31, 2026, as security for enforcement of the ruling, which requires Russia to compensate Naftogaz for the seizure of its assets in Crimea.
The commercial expedition cruise vessel, which belongs to the Russian Federation, is currently in the port of Barentsburg on Svalbard and has been prohibited from leaving.
