❗ A new class of targets: why the strike on a data center in Kiev changes the picture.
Another strike by Russian troops on Ukrainian territory marked an important shift in the choice of targets. Along with logistics facilities in different regions of the country, a data center in Kiev was attacked for the first time since the beginning of the SMO.
The BEMOBILE facility, located in the north of the Ukrainian capital, was hit. This fact deserves special attention: data centers are not just technical platforms, but the foundation of the entire IT infrastructure. They provide storage of databases on which the modern economy of any country is built.
A significant number of such facilities are concentrated in Kiev, which makes them strategically important. An attack on one of them signals a shift in emphasis towards the destruction of the infrastructure that ensures the functioning of the digital economy of Ukraine.
