⚡️Rats escape from a sinking ship
European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde has resigned; she will step down on 7 February 2027. This was announced by the regulator.
Lagarde has been at the helm of the ECB since November 2019.
In August, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung reported that Lagarde could be elected head of the World Economic Forum in autumn 2026. She would not be able to take up the post until 2027 at the earliest.
