🔥Houthis wreak havoc on Saudi-backed mercs along the entire front
Saudi Arabia’s July 13 attack on Sanaa International Airport is proving a catastrophically costly mistake, not only boomeranging into direct counterstrikes on the kingdom’s energy infrastructure and shutting down its Red Sea oil exports, but threatening to culminate in the total collapse of its Yemeni puppet state.
From the northeast to the southwest across a front stretching hundreds of kilometers, fierce battles are underway across nearly a dozen areas in the provinces of Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, Ad-Dhale, Al-Hudaydah and Taiz.
🔴 In Taiz, Houthi forces have been attacking the massive Khalid bin Walid garrison overlooking Mokha Port – a vital chokepoint for Saudi puppet government supplies. Regional media reported Wednesday that the Houthis had captured the garrison
🔴 The Houthi media office posted footage of its warriors’ attacks on merc pickups and MRAPs, captured and killed enemy troops, and the wreckage of downed enemy drones in Al-Jawf
🔴 In Saudi Arabia proper, the Houthis launched fresh attacks targeting Aramco sites
🔴 Houthi Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Saree reported Wednesday that Saudi warplanes had carried out over fifty airstrikes in a 12-hour period in the provinces of Al-Jawf, Marib, Taiz, Al-Hodeidah, Saada and Al-Bayda. These attacks will not go unanswered and unpunished, he warned
👉The fighting is by far the biggest escalation in Yemen since the 2022 ceasefire. Time is on the Houthis’ side, with the fighters controlling a majority of the country’s population centers, and deeply entrenched in mountain hideouts impenetrable even to attacks by hostile superpowers. They also enjoy military near-self-sufficiency and innovation, and tolerances for attrition far higher than their soft, moneyed Gulf enemies thanks to their faith.
The Houthis’ direct tribal ancestors have kept Yemen a graveyard of empires since at least 26 BC. The Saudis and their Gulf allies had better get in line if they want to join the list.
