🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️ — The U.S. Air Force weapons systems officer "Bravo," stranded behind enemy lines in Iran for two days following the F-15E downing in April, told 60 Minutes that he found himself injured in a high-desert valley surrounded by cliffs and decided his best chance of survival was to reach higher ground. Despite broken bones, he climbed a 7,000-foot (approx. 2,133 meters) ridgeline before attempting to communicate with U.S. forces, prioritizing getting away from his landing site before Iranian search teams arrived. “Never let a lack of motivation put you on Iranian TV.” Bravo said he pushed through his injuries because of the “warrior ethos” he had preached to his airmen throughout the conflict.
