🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️ — The U.S. Air Force weapons systems officer "Bravo," who was stranded behind enemy lines in Iran for two days, told 60 Minutes that his first priority was escaping his landing site and finding concealment before attempting to contact U.S. forces. His damaged ejection seat meant he had lost the survival kit containing food, additional water, and medical supplies. He was left with only his survival vest, which contained basic signaling and communications equipment, a minimal amount of water, and a few survival tools. Bravo said he treated his external injuries and bleeding as best he could, while there was little he could do about his internal injuries. “At every opportunity that presented itself, I worked toward communicating with friendly forces.” He noted communication never took priority over evading Iranian forces or dealing with the conditions around him.
